Bebe Turquoise Squash Flower
Bebe Turquoise Squash Flower
I SO love these little squash flower charms. I have one that I find myself always adding to my charm necklaces …and it just makes me happy. Much of that is due to the long history of where the “squash flower” motif comes from. Of course, squash is one of the four sacred foods of the Native American southwest tribes. Yet, the history goes back further than that. The flower motifs originated in the pomegranate in the Middle East, coming through Africa to Spain, and then on to Mexico and the southwest through trade. So the squash is actually a bit of Eurasian history kept alive in Southwest American Art!! I love this!!
*Limited Edition Silver Squash Flowers …great for adding as little charms to other pieces …or of course on its own.
