Happy Friday!! Lapis is such a spectacular stone ...full of depth and color. Solid, sturdy, and usually associated with royalty, it is a stone often found in Egyptian antiquity ...and throughout the east as a trading commodity. It was even bought & sold for its prized pigment ...ultramarine, which can be found anywhere from churches & cathedrals to palaces & castles throughout Europe.

Also connected to the chakras in the head (throat & crown) having to do with a strong voice and a connection with God. It is said in Exodus in the Old Testament that God was standing on a "pavement" of Lapis Lazuli! Can you imagine!!?? I sure would like to see that. In the meantime, I'll enjoy the bits & pieces of Lapis here on earth ...especially the ones I have the immense privilege of getting to wear!!
